The staff made the stay special from the moment we arrived, with such a warm welcome and the same lovely service right through to departure. After climbing Snowdon, we were aching, so the suite's freestanding bath was a real treat. I ended up having three baths during our stay. We'd booked a master suite, and its size and elegant, luxurious feel completely stunned me. I've never been so impressed by a room in my 40 years. The huge bathroom had a massive shower and double sinks, and the tea and coffee, dressing gowns, and White Company bath and shower products were lovely touches. The hall and grounds looked impressive when we arrived. Downstairs had the feel of the Traitors' castle, and we had a game of chess by a roaring fire in the bar. It was quiet, with plenty of drinks to choose from and very good beer on tap. I can't wait to come back.

The garden quickly became our favourite place, especially the swing beneath the huge tree lit up in purple. It felt like a little wonderland. The whole hotel was peaceful, with soft background music and beautiful design throughout. They were so welcoming and kind, and the hotel was very dog-friendly. Our dog even got a small box of toys and treats, such a thoughtful gesture. We had a lovely, relaxing stay and would happily return.

Room 207 was immaculate, as were the grounds, which were beautifully kept. The property sits in a quiet area, and the lounge and bar felt cosy and inviting. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the place was clean throughout. A beer and a spirit with mixer came to about £15.00. My only small complaint was the heat. The room window didn't open, and the radiators in both the room and hall were turned up very high when we arrived. Turning them down helped a lot, though it was still a little too warm for me. I didn't let that affect my rating and would return.

The continental breakfast was delicious, with plenty of fresh fruit, cheeses and deli options. We also enjoyed a cream tea in the sunshine on the patio. The only thing missing for us was an on-site restaurant. Our villa room was comfortable and well appointed, with a pleasant walk to it through the huge, beautiful grounds. The location was great, and the staff were friendly, professional, and keen to make sure we had everything we needed.

Caer Rhun Hall's food and hospitality were impressive, and the well-organised team kept everything running smoothly. The staff were attentive, professional and welcoming throughout, without ever being intrusive. They handled every detail with care. Inside, the hall feels warm and elegant, with well-maintained interiors that combine charm and sophistication. The historic architecture, peaceful setting and lovely grounds made a strong impression as soon as we arrived. It seems a memorable choice for a stay, event or special occasion. This was a genuinely five-star experience, and I'd highly recommend Caer Rhun Hall to anyone after a distinctive, luxurious and picturesque venue.
