Betws Inn Bed and Breakfast

We had a lovely group stay, and the decor felt fresh and looked great. Nearly everything we needed was provided, though the kitchen equipment could use some attention and a few more glasses would help. Bath mats would also have been useful. We heard something, probably squirrels, living in the roof of the room with the downstairs bathroom, and noticed a small shower leak through to the room below where the TV was. We reported both issues, so hopefully they’ll be sorted soon.

Betws Inn is a lovely old coaching inn, once an important stop on the old route to Anglesey. The photos don’t show how spacious it is: a family of five or six could fit comfortably without getting in each other’s way. It’s immaculately clean, with a huge, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable sitting room with an inglenook and log burner, spacious dining room, and three large double bedrooms with ensuites. The beds were very comfortable, the linen was good quality, and plenty of towels were supplied. The location is amazing and the quality is 10/10. Just to be clear, it’s a holiday cottage, not an inn or pub.

It felt too cramped for six people, and the stairs were dangerous. The upstairs TV didn’t work. The two upstairs ensuite bedrooms are actually down unlit stairs, which made the layout very user unfriendly.

The views are amazing, and the place itself is beautiful with so much history.
