Bryn Dinas Camping Pods Ltd.

We stayed at Bryn Dinas Glamping Pods over Easter for a wedding, and had a lovely time. Even with Storm Dave going on, the pod felt cosy and secure. It was a great size and well placed for walks in the beautiful surrounding area. I brought my little dog along, and it worked really well for travelling with a pet. I'd happily stay again.

Anthony was brilliant at answering my questions, and booking was seamless from the moment I enquired. I needed somewhere close by for a last-minute proposal session, and the location worked perfectly. Dragon’s Lair had the facilities we needed. Highly recommend, and we'll come back for a trip that isn't for work. Thanks so much.

Snowden was amazing, and this was an ideal spot for it. I’d planned to camp, but the pods were definitely much drier. They’re basic, though they had everything we needed, and the shower was good. The town was close by, and the walk there was lovely.

The location is good, though the road is busy and fast, with no gate to stop small children or dogs wandering out. The cleaning staff keep the bathrooms clean and stocked, there was plenty of tea and coffee in the pod for a couple of days, and the owner was friendly and happy to chat. The pods are clean enough and laid out well, but the mattresses in the Caernarfon pod are very uncomfortable, don't fit the bases, and need replacing. Midges also pour in when you open a door or window. Fly screens would help with airflow on hot evenings, otherwise it becomes a sweatbox. The seating area is a sloping stone yard with old rusty four-inch screws and fence-post nails lying around. It's dangerous, and I picked up what I could after warning barefoot guests. There seem to be mice or rats: several holes under pods and elsewhere, plus a dead mouse by one pod door. The bins are open, including the food waste bin, right in front of the bathroom block. Maybe that's why there are rodents, although the bins are emptied regularly. Guest parking is on the main road, as the website says, but in the busy season there might not be enough spaces. There aren't enough cones for every guest to reserve a spot while out for the day. If these issues were fixed, I'd probably return, but as things stand I wouldn't book again. The area itself is stunning, but pathsides are covered with litter, and people have been leaving their mess by footpaths without cleaning it up. If you're doing that, please stay in your own garden and pick up after yourself. Keep Wales clean!
