The hosts were so friendly and helpful, even lending my wife an umbrella. Our family room was comfortable and basic, but had everything we needed. The only downside was that check-in wasn't possible until after 4pm. I'm not sure whether that was the booking site's policy or the guest house's, but after travelling to the area it would be nice to leave our bags as soon as possible and get out to see the sights.

Our room was a good size, clean, and comfortable, and breakfast had just the right amount of choice for us. We had a great one-night stay at the Cartref, ideally located within the medieval town walls and near the castle. I'd recommend this guesthouse.

Breakfast had lots of choice, more than you'd expect from such a small guest house, though you have to book a time slot. Check-out was at 10:30am, clearly stated; in hindsight, that got us up and out to enjoy the day. They kindly returned a shirt we'd left behind. This lovely little Guest House is centrally located, with free harbour parking close by. The building feels thoughtfully decorated, blending modern facilities with traditional touches. We had comfy beds, excellent tea and coffee, a useful information pack, and a lovely en-suite bathroom in Room 6, though some rooms share a bathroom. All in all, highly recommended, and I'd stay again.

Peter and Sharon were very welcoming and helpful during our recent one-night stay. Everything felt just right at this lovely guesthouse in a great location, with all the things we needed. A five-star experience, simply perfect. Highly recommended.
