The good points were a huge TV, lots of Velux windows that brought in great light and helped with heat, plenty of hot water, and lovely, neat decor. But although it was advertised as dog friendly, it didn’t feel that way. The garden wasn’t enclosed, dogs had to stay on leads there, and with the polished wooden stairs and floors, there was no child gate to stop dogs trying to go upstairs. There were tea bags, salt, sugar, pepper, foil, cling film, greaseproof paper and matches, but no milk, coffee or grill tray. I couldn’t get the oven working and had to use the grill, then go back out for milk on the single-track roads.
