There are lovely walks and hikes straight from the cottage, and Snowdon is only a short drive away. We found this the most appealing place we’ve stayed in the region. The mattress was comfortable, the furniture stylish, and the little homely touches made it really relaxing. Emma was a thoughtful host and had taken care of the details, right down to the well equipped kitchen with nice oils and condiments. The cottage has been carefully renovated and tastefully decorated throughout. It sits in a lovely spot in Beddgelert, a stone’s throw from the village shops and restaurants. I can’t recommend it more highly.

We only had two nights here, which was my one regret. The little garden was a delight, and we spent an evening outside. When it rained, the stove and ready chopped logs kept us warm, and there was even an electric airer for damp clothes. Emma had left so many lovely extras: fudge, honey, a bottle of prosecco, plus bread, milk, tea and coffee. Everything was spotless, and the cottage felt like a home from home. The village has three pubs, a couple of shops and cafes. We’d heard about this beautiful place from friends, and I’d highly recommend Snowdonia Stone Cottage. Thanks, Emma, for a fabulous couple of days. Book early!
