I left this stay deeply disappointed and upset. I wouldn’t return, and I can’t recommend this B&B to solo or non-white travellers who want a respectful place to stay. I appreciated that the female host was kinder and more respectful after she stepped in, but by then the damage was done. I felt second-class despite paying the same as everyone else, and I can’t ignore how racial bias seemed to affect the interaction. As a solo traveller, I’ve stayed in all sorts of places, even basic hostels, and have always been treated warmly and courteously. This was the first time I felt actively unwelcome and uncomfortable, especially because I seemed to be treated differently from other guests. In the breakfast room, the male host didn’t greet or acknowledge me, or show me where to go, while white guests were welcomed and engaged with. I had to find a table on my own, which felt isolating. Later, he came over and said I’d picked the “wrong table” because of how the cutlery was set out, even though nobody had guided me to a table. When I told him that was rude, he flatly denied it. He only apologized after I said it was rude to me, and the apology felt dismissive and passive-aggressive rather than genuine.

Jane and Trevor were friendly, helpful hosts at this great B&B in the centre of Llanberis. My room was comfortable and very nice, and there were excellent breakfast choices. There’s parking at the front for a few cars.

Rusty the cat even made a lovely surprise visit to our room. The guest house is in a fantastic spot, just a short walk from the start of the Llanberis path, and we’d happily return if we were in the area again. Jane and Trevor were friendly, helpful, and accommodating hosts. Our room was clean, tidy, and well equipped, with an ensuite. We enjoyed choosing from the many breakfast options each morning. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Jane and Trevor were welcoming and very helpful, and the cooked breakfast was excellent. The room was comfortable, clean, and well appointed. A perfect B&B for a walk up Snowdon.
