During the circular walk from highworth, my daughter and I stopped at the Jolly Tar for a quick drink. I hadn't been there in years, and after how unwelcome we felt, it'll be years before I return.

We only came for dinner, not an overnight stay. The food was lovely, and sitting beside the wood burner made it a pleasant meal. Service was very good too.

The bread was amazing, and the portions were generous. I came for dinner with a friend this evening after far too many years away, and everything was freshly prepared, brilliant, and super tasty. Can't wait to visit again.

The room was beautiful, spotless, and had a comfortable bed. Steven made us feel so welcome, and the food was delicious, far exceeding my expectations. Such a brilliant spot for an overnight stay or a week's base. I'll definitely be back.

The wait was short and the waiters were incredibly polite. I always come here for a Sunday roast and plan to keep doing so. The food is cooked to perfection. Highly recommend if you're in the area!
