I only stopped for drinks, not an overnight stay. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic, and the outdoor seating was in a lovely, quiet spot. The only issue was that there wasn't a gluten-free alcoholic drink option.

Sitting outside gives you a peaceful view of the river, with boats and wildlife to watch. Potters Inn has great food and service, and I can totally recommend the restaurant. I'll definitely be back.

After a long walk along the river bank, we were looking forward to sitting in the garden by the canal. Instead, we were firmly turned away before we even got near the front door because we had our two very well-behaved Cocker Spaniels with us. I haven't experienced the establishment itself, and it's very sad they must lose so much business this way. Their loss. I'll certainly tell friends and family never to go there.

We had a thoroughly good evening with four friends. The food was very good, and the staff were helpful and courteous. It's a pleasant place to spend an evening, with a sports bar and pool table as well as a separate, spacious restaurant overlooking the patio and Basingstoke canal.

The scenery was lovely, and the hotel felt clean and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with free WiFi and parking. The bar and restaurant were both great, with lovely staff and well-prepared food. I'd stay again if I'm in the area.
