Premier Inn Camborne

The staff were friendly and the location was good, but the rooms are VERY dated and urgently need renovating. For 18 hours, I felt like I was back in 1987. Not great at this price.

The ladies at reception were lovely and so welcoming, especially the one whose sister lives in Evesham. Our Prem Plus room was spotless apart from the windowsill. The only other room issue was the shower and tap, which had hardly any water pressure. The restaurant service was poor, and we waited a long time even though it wasn’t busy. Finding a dead fly among the cooked tomatoes put us off eating there again during our stay. Even with those problems, this is the best PI so far. Well done, guys!

When we arrived during storm Goretti, the hotel and much of the surrounding area had lost power. The two reception ladies had anticipated that the storm might knock out their booking systems and got the information they needed down on paper beforehand. That let them check in people with and without pre-bookings with very little fuss. They handled pure chaos and helped keep a lot of people safe in a very dangerous situation. Well done, and thank you again.

The hotel is very clean, as you’d expect, and the staff are friendly. It’s close to a main road but stayed very quiet through the night. Getting to St Ives and Truro is easy, and in my case so was Penzance, since the PI there cost more than twice as much. A great option for Cornwall visitors, highly recommended.
