The gardens were immaculate, and the view from the nearby beach at sunset was outstanding. We were nine people using this lovely five-bedroom house as a base for exploring Snowdonia National Park. There was plenty of room to gather, with a large lounge and real fire, a big conservatory with a proper roof, and a smaller breakfast area in the kitchen, which has an excellent range stove. The bedrooms are three doubles and two twins. The downstairs double has no en suite, but there’s a bathroom just across the hall. The drive could fit around 12-15 cars, and there are some lovely local walks too.

We had a great week at Llwyn Derw Holiday Cottage with our family of seven. The house was spotless and spacious enough for all of us, with a sea view from the back garden. Bennar beach is just around the corner, down the Lane. It starts with cobbles, then opens out into a huge stretch of sand leading to the sea. Barmouth is a busy town with a fabulous sandy beach, and the house is well placed for exploring the area. Marian was always happy to help. We’d certainly recommend it.

Marian was such a thoughtful, kind host. She welcomed us with freshly baked Welsh fruit cake and checked in during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. The house and gardens are clearly well cared for, and it feels properly homely. We were a family group, and there was space for up to 10, with good-sized bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Some rooms look out over the ocean. There’s a barbecue with all the tools, plus Xbox games, board games, DVDs, puzzles and books. Leaflets for local attractions were there too. Benar beach is about a 20-25 minute walk away, and there are a couple of restaurants and takeaways nearby. I’d recommend Tony's pizza.

Marian was easy to reach and very friendly. Knowing she was only a phone call away and glad to help with any problems was reassuring. The house itself is beautiful, with spacious rooms and gorgeous gardens, and it’s in a great spot near a lovely little beach called Benar Beach. Would highly recommend.

We were 10 people and had a fantastic holiday in Marians beautiful home. The five bedrooms and five bathrooms were all amazing, and we didn’t find ourselves wanting for anything. It’s close to local beaches, in a great location. We’ll definitely be back.
