We stayed a couple of nights in a "small double room" with an ensuite bathroom. The woman running the guest house was so lovely and helped us get settled. It's in a good spot, quieter than the centre but still easy to reach. I'd definitely consider staying here again.

When I moved to Cambridge to look for rent, I booked a one-person room, and the family kindly kept extending my stay for as long as I needed. They were friendly, quick to respond and made me feel really welcome. Everything was tidy, the bathrooms are new and well equipped, and the rooms are cosy. There's a microwave downstairs for heating food, supermarkets nearby including a big Sainsbury's, and the city centre is walkable. If you prefer, there's a bus stop just 2 min from the house. Thanks so much for the warm welcome! ❤️

A lovely, quiet, tidy room with a small fridge. Shops and a supermarket are only 60-100 m away, and the bus stop is just nearby. The ride from the station takes 8 mins. We had a great stay and will definitely come back. Highly recommend.

My first accommodation in Cambridge cancelled at the last minute, so I had to find somewhere else. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Alington House was reasonably priced, the hosts were lovely, and the neighbourhood was great, with Central Cambridge close by bus. My smaller room was clean, bright with lots of sunlight, and perfectly adequate for one person. The en suite was clean and nice too. I was a little sad to leave and would definitely stay again.

It feels more like staying in a British home than a hotel, thanks to the friendly family running the place. Everything was exceptionally clean and well organized. The location might look a little outside the city centre, but it's well connected, and the nearby market and restaurants are worth checking out.
