After a long day at work, I arrived to find the wrong check-in details and no key in the lockbox. That caused a lot of stress and inconvenience while I got in touch to sort it out and get the right box information. I was in a hurry when I booked and hadn't read the reviews. Big mistake. The apartment and its internal stairwell badly need a makeover. The place was basic and in really poor shape, with water-damaged worktops by the sink. I'd bought food to cook, but there were no pots or pans, and it took two days for them to show up. At nearly £100 a night, this felt uninhabitable and just wasn't good enough. The bad reviews have been around for years, and the owners clearly don't intend to improve it. Don't give them your money.

We ended up leaving the room and got no money back, despite cancelling the booking. The toilet was dirty and moldy, the mattress was so old its springs stuck out, and there were no towels or heating. Before booking at the last minute, I asked if they had space for both nights and was told they did. When we arrived, we had to stand outside in the cold for an hour before getting a text with the check-in instructions. Then we found out they only had room for one night. We said that was fine and asked to cancel, but they refused to cancel and refund us. The customer service was extremely bad. Avoid.

I felt unsafe in the property and didn't want to leave valuables there. The walls are paper thin, and a noisy neighbour kept me awake all night. I left after one night. I was shown two rooms, and neither had been cleaned. Both were very poor quality for the price, with broken, dangerous furniture. The shower was dirty and in terrible condition. Do not stay here.

We'd booked three nights but checked out after just one. Luckily, AirBnB returned our money because the room looked nothing like the photos. It was damp, filthy and absolutely reeked, with no hot water. The bed was unbelievably uncomfortable, every spring seemed to poke through. Not worth the price. Avoid it.
