It's a practical place for a short Cambridge visit, close to the station and city centre. The rooms are clean and functional, though simple and a bit dated, so don't expect a luxury stay. Staff were generally friendly and there weren't any major issues.

Couldn't get much light blocked by the blinds, and it was hard to reach the host for the door code. The bathroom had a cramped shower, a broken door and a dirty shower head. There were hairs in the sink, skid marks in the toilet, dirt on the ottoman, and the towels were old and frayed.

We paid for a late checkout, yet people knocked on our door several times. There was no staff around, and the dusty room came with only half a roll of toilet paper. Check-in was a headache too: after trying countless times over the previous week to get an answer to a question, we still had no building access code when check-in came. We spent an hour on the phone with hotels.com. Really wouldn't recommend it, it feels a bit like a scam.

The room was clean and nice, and it stayed pretty quiet during my one-night visit. I'd happily return. There isn't a receptionist on site. You can call, though it may take a while to hear back. I found messaging through Booking.com or Agoda more responsive. The woman I spoke with was very kind and clearly explained how to get in, including the door code. The deposit should be back in your account within seven days of your stay.

It's an easy walk from the train station and into the city centre. The rooms looked older in person than they did in the photos, and my check-in details didn't arrive on time.
