Studio-47

The room was lovely and really clean, and I thought it was a fab idea to have a microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster there. They’d also provided crumpets, croissants, waffles, crepes, cereal, milk, butter, jam, bottled water, fruit juice, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. I’ll definitely return.

The bed was genuinely very comfortable, but that was about the only plus. The place is on a main road and the neighbours were noisy too. The carpet had burn marks and there was dust everywhere. The shower was held together with sellotape, and the hot water was dangerously hot with no warning. Breakfast was very skimpy, wasn't topped up, and the fruit was mouldy. There wasn't enough food for two people. Really not worth the price.

The location and price were fantastic, and Diane made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. It was a hot weekend, so she thoughtfully brought out a cold bottle of water, helped with our bags, and showed us to the room. There was a large double bed with very clean white bedding, bedside tables and lamps, a chair, mirror, sideboard, TV, and desk. The corner sink area was tidy and came with washing-up liquid, a toaster, kettle, and a mini fridge stocked with milk and fresh orange juice. There was plenty of wardrobe space, plus a basket of continental breakfast items. Diane explained the Wi-Fi and information booklet, and gave us a leaflet for the air display and military weekend, pointing out when the Red Arrows would be on. We were able to leave our car parked outside all day on Sunday while we watched the display, which was a huge help as finding parking in Cleethorpes that weekend would have been very difficult. Diane is absolutely lovely. We really appreciated everything she did, and would definitely recommend staying here.

We'd stayed at Studio-47 several times before and always liked the alternative accommodation. When I called last week, it was full, so Diane suggested the new mews apartments, which had only recently opened. We stayed Friday night and would have stayed Saturday too, but it was booked. The apartment had a super king bed, a fab shower, and the usual Studio-47 facilities. The extra £10 was well worth it.
