Hyatt Centric Cambridge

It’s an okay, very modern hotel, but the location is terrible. Eddington feels like a ghost town of soulless new builds where nobody lives. Rooms are small but average, and the windows aren’t soundproof, so you hear what’s happening outside pretty quickly.

The room was a great price, clean, spacious and really well equipped. The hotel is well placed for walking into Cambridge, around 15 minutes away, and Brook Leys park run is just two minutes away.

After a long drive, I turned up early without a reservation. Zoe at the front desk was really helpful and accommodating. She found me a room despite the short notice and got everything sorted with hardly any fuss. She was very polite and a pleasure to talk to. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone around Cambridge.

I was here for one business night in December. The staff were really friendly, and the hotel felt sleek, modern and very clean. My blue room was incredibly spacious and stylish, with a super comfortable bed. It was quiet and well insulated against noise and cold. There was basic tea and coffee, plus a little fridge for anything I needed to store. Breakfast wasn’t for me. It was very unhealthy, so I skipped it, and there aren’t many nearby choices beyond a cute little coffee shop and a Sainsbury’s. It costs £20 if you pay on the day, with pancakes, a full English, cereal and fruit at the buffet. Not great if you have diabetes. More salads and whole foods would be nice for health-conscious guests.
