Higher Culloden Farm

The location made it easy to walk or drive to the village, with its chip shop and play park. Sea View Farm Shop, with a restaurant, was about a 15 minute drive away. The food was good and competitively priced compared with other places in the area. Spence and India were the best hosts we've met at any camping or glamping site. They welcomed us and suggested places to eat and visit. Each morning we helped Spence feed the chickens and pigs and see more of the farm. He's clearly passionate and knowledgeable about small scale farming, and told us about his ideas for growing the business and supporting the local community. The pods were clean, with comfy mattresses, and stayed just the right temperature during a cold, wet start to the Eater weekend. We appreciated having our own shower and toilet and a kitchenette. At night we sat by the fire pit listening to owls, and my son enjoyed the resident pheasant's company. We hope Spence, India and Elvis do well with the business, and we're looking forward to coming back next year.

We came back for a second visit and it lived up to our expectations again. It's a lovely setting for unwinding with the family, and the hosts gave us great advice on local activities and took the kids to feed the animals. It's great seeing the progress the owners have made as they build a legacy, and the place has a real sense of sustainability.

The facilities were really clean, and the location was handy for sightseeing. We had an incredible stay. The hosts were lovely with the kids, knew a lot and were always ready to help or answer questions. We'd recommend it 100%.

We stayed two nights at the farm with our 5, 4 and 1 year old, and absolutely loved it. The cabins worked perfectly for our family. The secure site let the kids roam and play freely, which they loved. We had our own bathroom and could use a kitchenette. India and Spence were helpful and accommodating. In the mornings they took the children to feed the animals and showed us the crops they're growing. There's lots to do in the beautiful local area. We'll definitely plan another visit and couldn't recommend it more.
