The room was very clean, large, warm, and good value for two for a weekend, with towels included. The staff were friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi didn’t work in the room, though I managed on 4G. There are live shows at the pub until late, and guests can be noisy into the early hours. You can hear between rooms, as there’s no sound insulation.

Sian was really helpful when I asked about booking a table for birthday drinks as a surprise, even though they don’t usually take bookings just for drinks. They’d also kindly booked the pool table. Our table was occupied when we arrived, and with a bit of a wait for both tables, they generously gave us £5. Thanks, we’d come again :)

The Hen House is a lovely local pub with a friendly atmosphere, and they welcome dogs too. The food was excellent, piping hot, and really tasty. We got a warm welcome from the friendly staff, and the boss is great, nothing is too much trouble. Fabulous 👌

Thursday night had a great karaoke, with Rick on DJ duty and a good crowd there too. The staff were friendly and great. Thanks to Cath and Rick for being brilliant hosts.

Met up with my cousin and some of his friends, and we had a great time 🎉🥳🎯. Friendly staff, a good atmosphere, and beer and ales at reasonable prices. I’ve already been twice and will definitely go back.
