Driftwood Beach House

We didn't end up staying because they cancelled the day before. I understand the SE water issues were beyond your control, but the communication could have come sooner and been clearer. You sent me messages from the water board a day earlier that already highlighted the problem. Poor communication. Hopefully this review reminds the venue to value its customers instead of holding on to them as long as possible in the hope of keeping their money.

We loved how comfortable the room was after a long day of walking, and the fire pit was a lovely extra. Cards and a glass of wine are a must. Jasmine welcomed us and explained the room, facilities and how breakfast worked. Breakfast really made our mornings, from fresh fruit and pastries to smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. We wanted to try it all. The hot tub was a favourite, whether for a relaxed soak after breakfast or a midday dip before going into town. There's a nice little pub called the oyster pearl five minutes' walk from the guest house, then it's a 25-30 minute walk along the seafront into whitstable, with sea air and a beautiful view. We can't recommend driftwood enough and will definitely return. Thank you, Jasmine x

We felt so relaxed and welcome here, which matters a lot when it's hard to find a place that works well for children. Our room had big French doors onto the garden, which our little daughter loved. We stayed in Chess Room with her, aged 2.5, and it was perfect for us. The room was spacious and nicely decorated, with a huge comfy bed that had me sleeping like a baby. Breakfast was tasty, and we had both continental and full English. Even our fussy little miss ate without fuss, and they had almond milk too. Thank you, Jez and Michelle, for having us. It was lovely meeting you, and we hope to stay in the spa room in future. Wishing you well.

We had a really relaxing weekend in the Moroccan themed room, and made the most of its wood fired hot tub. It was our tenth anniversary, and our host Jasmin had thoughtfully arranged a cake and prosecco. The room was immaculate, with lots of attention to detail, and Jasmin was kind and helpful. We were very impressed and can't wait to come back!
