Breakfast was fine, more practical than memorable, and the shared spaces could use an update. The hotel does get a bit crowded at busy times. Still, the rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable, and staff are generally friendly. It's also easy to walk to the centre and the Barbican, so it's a dependable place to stay in Plymouth.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the location worked perfectly for the arts university. Breakfast was fantastic. There was a bit of a check-in queue, and I only found out about the 10% car park discount after I'd paid. Would definitely recommend it.

8/10
The room was well laid out and spacious, with a large, firm bed, complimentary drinks and coffee, and a pleasant view. We could hear bass from nearby venues and the neighbouring room's door closing, so the soundproofing wasn't great, though it was Saturday night. The location was practical, right in town and an 8-10 minute walk to the harbour. We had a great stay.

It took four room changes before we got one that had the bathtub I'd requested through booking.com, since I'm disabled and find a bath easier. That could have been avoided. The bathroom was clean but had a few small faults, and the tub could have been wider. The service was good, and the room was very clean apart from a few minor things. We still had a nice stay, and I'd recommend it.

The car park wasn't my favourite, though that's not the hotel's fault. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was great. Both the hotel and the large room were very clean.
