Samantha was so kind and made sure my order came quickly, packed it up for me, and really looked after me. I’d travelled a long way and had a coaching session on the water to get to. The staff were friendly, the food was great, and it’s a beautiful spot. I’ll definitely come back, maybe to stay overnight next time.

The surroundings are gorgeous, and we had a lovely lunch. Samantha was a real giggle, so helpful and kind. The food was great too, especially the meaty ribs and my top-notch burger. A nice little touch was getting a whole bottle of mayonnaise instead of one of those small pots, which you hardly see these days. Service was outstanding. We’ll be back soon!

We only came for a late Sunday lunch, not an overnight stay. The venison Wellington was delicious, and the trimmings were great, especially some of the best roast potatoes I’ve had. We sat in the cosy lounge by the fire to finish our drinks. The service was fabulous and friendly.

The Sunday roast was really tasty and hot, with beef, pork and chicken for our group and all the trimmings. Staff were attentive and very friendly. They brought our toddler’s meal out early so it could cool down before it reached the table, which saved our little one from getting grumpy. Everything was well cooked.

The staff were chatty and really helpful when we went for lunch. The food was the letdown, just the same generic, pre-prepared pub fare that seems to haunt most pubs now.
