The Rocks at Plas Curig

The staff were welcoming, and the views and surroundings are amazing. It’s a beautiful, comfortable and cosy lodge hostel, with a huge, well organised, well equipped kitchen. The common rooms are stylish and nicely arranged, with plenty of places to relax, and there’s a very handy wet/dry room.

The location was superb for using this as a base to climb Snowdon. I spent two nights here and thought it was an amazing place, with friendly service, a warm welcome, and excellent rooms and facilities. The shared kitchen worked really well.

The Rocks has a warm, relaxed feel, and Nick is always happy to help. Every time I stay, the bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen are clean and well equipped, and the place never fails to impress. I’ve been a couple of times with my daughter, who loves staying here and meeting people. If you’re unsure about a “hostel”, give this place a try, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. I was here to get a few mountain days into my logbook and had a great time. The staff were wonderful and helpful, especially Ellie. It’s conveniently right next to Caffi Siabod, where you can get a great breakfast. I’ll definitely come back.
