The staff and management were a highlight: friendly, patient, fun and helpful. From check-in, the calm, attentive rapport between management (HM; Emma, DM; Sam, DM; Milad) was a pleasure to see. They checked in regularly and made the stay feel cared for without ever seeming irritated or overbearing. They have that balance down to a tee. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean and tidy, with comfortable beds and pillows. I had the best night's sleep in a long time. The lighting was good, especially the calming purple lights above the headboard, and there were plenty of regular and USB sockets, including beside the bed. Bathrooms were modern and stylish, with quality toiletries and lovely hot, powerful showers. If you want your room cleaned or the bedding changed, put the sign on your door handle or tell a member of staff. Meals are served at "The Social," a beautifully presented, modern dining space split into three areas. The main restaurant has rich colours, velvety Turquoise open booths, and red and floral motif cushions for a classic luxury feel. There's also a bar area and lounge with wooden booths and small tables. I recommend the meal deal: two-course dinner, a drink, and unlimited cooked and continental breakfast for £26.99. The menu is varied and well chosen, and credit to all the chefs. They were often run off their feet, but every meal I had was beautifully prepared and presented, with great flavours. My favourites were the 8oz Sirloin Steak, rare and cooked to perfection, with skin-on chips, peas, tomato, peppercorn sauce and slaw, followed by the Apple & Blackberry crumble sundae. Some evenings the restaurant gets very busy and orders from the kitchen can be delayed, but it's worth the wait. I'd book an evening meal table when you come down for breakfast. The hotel has a calming feel, and is a lovely place to relax, eat a hearty meal and sleep well after a day exploring. I'd definitely recommend it and am already looking at dates to return.

Getting around Cardiff was easy from here. We could reach the city quickly, while staying away from the centre's traffic and noise, and parking was simple. The staff were warm and helpful the whole time. The restaurant and shared spaces felt much more stylish and inviting than I expected, with greenery and warm lighting. Breakfast had plenty of fresh food, and the team kept it replenished even when it got busy. Our room was quiet, spotless, and laid out well. The bed was as comfortable as promised, and details like useful lighting, lots of charging points, and a strong shower made everything feel relaxed. The hotel has modern comforts along with the dependable feel I associate with Premier Inn. We had a genuinely lovely stay, better than expected, and I’d gladly come back or recommend it.

The restaurant food was delicious, and the seating downstairs was really comfortable. The decor looked amazing, and I could almost have mistaken that part of the hotel for somewhere other than a Prem Inn. The rooms themselves were standard Prem Inn fare, though. It's about five minutes to the bus stop for a ride into town, or an Uber is around £14-16. I liked the hotel and will definitely return. I only marked the room down because the curtain didn't shut fully, and a bright car park security light came through, so it wasn't as dark as these rooms usually are for sleeping.

The bar is relaxed and handy, and breakfast has loads of choice. I've stayed twice now and had a pleasant time on both visits. Rooms have been clean and comfortable, and the staff are cheerful and friendly. One of the managers even stopped for a chat while I was waiting for family in the lobby. It's a short drive into the city centre too. Would recommend ☺️

The room was comfortable, clean, and good value. I would have stayed an extra day, but breakfast was atrocious. The entrance had a strange smell, a bit like a urinal. There were long queues and hardly any food. We were told to come back in 20 minutes, but some people stayed in line, so after we left the queue to sit with my family, we ended up waiting even longer. When we were finally seated, the hot plate had no eggs or hashbrowns, only a few sausages and some bacon that was half raw. The scrambled eggs smelled raw and had been microwaved and mashed like potatoes. It was disgusting and unacceptable. I ate a little because I was hungry. They had run out of gluten-free bread when I asked. I also noticed people could just pay for breakfast when they arrived, which doesn't seem like a good system if the hotel isn't ready for the demand.
