We came to Cardiff for Sting’s concert at the Castle and booked The Beverley well ahead. The location and reasonable bed and breakfast price suited us, and it didn’t disappoint. Our double room was clean and well equipped, with a lovely walk-in shower, and breakfast was good. We were lucky to get a space in the rear car park, which was secured at night by a hefty steel gate. The Beverley is on lovely Cathedral Road, lined with homes from when Cardiff was the world’s richest port. The city centre is under a mile away, an easy walk there and back, and we felt safe walking back. We love Cardiff, had an amazing weekend, and look forward to coming back soon.

We tried both the Classic Mixed Grill and the Mega Mixed Grill at The Beverley Hotel, and both were delicious and well cooked. The Classic is a solid meal, while the Mega really does suit a bigger appetite. I’ve included a photo of both so you can compare. The food is great value, and the service was friendly and efficient in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend if you’re nearby and fancy a satisfying meal.

My mum and I stayed the night and had a lovely room, beautifully decorated, with very comfortable beds and a huge bathroom. We were above a pub but didn’t hear any noise from downstairs. We added breakfast and were so glad we did, it was delicious and set us up for the journey home. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I’d definitely stay here again next time I’m in Cardiff.

The room was roomy and clean, with a great shower and sink in the bathroom. They’d left tea, coffee and biscuits for us, and breakfast was good. We also enjoyed the tasty meals and the friendly, helpful staff. It’s a lovely spot in the city, just a short stroll from Sophia Gardens and the castle. There are big screens for major rugby and football matches, plus front seating that gets nice sun in the morning and afternoon. A very good stay.
