The only drawback is the tiny car park, though that’s down to the limited space available. The hosts can provide parking permits, so it’s manageable. They’re attentive and helpful, and the B&B is easy to find on a main road. I really like this place and would come back if I’m in Carlisle again.

Breakfast felt a bit rushed. The toast was forgotten and arrived cold later, and the host wasn’t around when we wanted to mention it. Still, we’d visit again. We got a nice welcome and clear instructions, and the rooms were a good size, clean and nicely prepared. Parking is limited but adequate.

We had everything we needed for a decent night’s sleep, though the room could use darker curtains. The stay was clean, comfortable and well run. It didn’t stand out among the other places we stayed while walking Hadrian’s Wall, but that’s no bad thing. Can’t fault it.

Breakfast was good, and there’s a small car park at the front, plus a little on-street parking. The staff were OK. Our B&B room was cramped despite having two chairs, and one of us had no bedside table or lamp. The en suite was dated and needs an upgrade. The main road right outside was very noisy, and sadly there were no packed lunches available.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and the location works well for the town centre or driving farther out of the city. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. Parking on site is tight and tricky, especially with a long car. The bathroom is rather small, but functional, with an effective shower.
