We’ve visited several times and wouldn’t stay anywhere else. The beds are sublime, and the hot tub is a real treat. The surroundings are picturesque, rustic and charming, with individually themed accommodations. Steve, “the host with the most”, always gives us a warm welcome and goes above and beyond to keep guests happy. It’s a lovely way to step back from the fast pace of modern life and social media, surrounded by tranquil, soul-soothing nature. Thanks again for your hospitality and for sharing this beautiful site with us. We’ll be back soon!

My partner and I came for a birthday and romantic weekend, and couldn’t have been happier. Steve was brilliant, friendly and helpful. He showed us how to use the wood burner for the hot tub and gave us ideas for things to do nearby. We stayed in 'the lantern', a fantastic place to rest and relax. It felt close to nature but still homely. Armathwaite is a gorgeous little hideaway in the lakes, and I’d recommend it if you want somewhere cute and cosy, with a camping feel and a few creature comforts. We’ll 100% come back. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

We came as a family on the 16-18th and had a great time. The wagon was clean, tidy and comfortable, and the children loved the little swing on the tree. We could see horses, and a little chicken was wandering around. The fire hot tub was amazing, and the kids loved it. I went fishing in the river. The location was great, and steve was a brilliant host, always there to help with whatever we needed. The outside kitchen had everything you’d need, and the kitchen, shower and toilet areas were clean. We’ve booked to come back for five days in the summer because it was so beautiful and relaxing. Thanks for a lovely stay at drydeck farm. Ryan, jessica. Darcy and edie x

The location and views were stunning, and the laidback owner was lovely. After a perfect hot shower, we were greeted in the morning by some happy cows across the field. Couldn’t find a fault with anything!

I played with my band @priceofmypig at a wedding ceilidh here last weekend. It’s a lovely place with good facilities, including an indoor and an outdoor stage. Great for a festival-style wedding! It was raining, so we played inside, but the atmosphere was still great.
