Green View Lodges

I've been here five times and never been disappointed. Emily and mark are amazing and always make me feel at home. The place feels surreal, surrounded by countryside and live animals, donkeys, rams, chickens and Billy goats. What more could you ask for?

I've been coming to Green View Lodges for years when I feel overwhelmed. A couple of days away from normal life helps me switch off and reset, and I can just drop an email and they always accommodate me. Emily and Gary are amazing at what they do, having made the jump themselves from busy lives. If you're looking for an escape, this is the place. I had another lovely, relaxing weekend, with plenty to do if you love animals. I woke up to a donkey watching me make breakfast. It's close to Keswick and carlise town, and after visiting our favourite places today, it was perfect to come back to a home from home and be completely undisturbed. I always love my time here and what it does for me and my mental health.

The lodges are comfortable and very well equipped, with very reasonable prices. They're in a beautiful spot with easy access to the Lakes. I'd certainly come back.

The children in our family group loved the paddock next door, with its donkeys, sheep and chickens, and the goats nearby. The surroundings were peaceful and quiet, and the owners were friendly and helpful while we booked. We rented several lodges for a nearby wedding and were so glad we did. They were clean, comfortable and well equipped. The homemade cake and local dairy milk waiting for us were a lovely touch. We'd definitely stay again and strongly recommend it.
