Premier Inn Carlisle Central

I had some reservations before arriving after seeing a few very negative reviews among all the positive ones, but none of those concerns matched my experience. The service, cleanliness and atmosphere were all well above standard, and the staff stayed welcoming, attentive and genuinely helpful throughout. The English breakfast buffet was more than satisfactory, with a broad range of well-prepared food. The hotel delivered on every front for me, and I’ll certainly return.

We took the £26.99 deal for unlimited breakfast, a two-course evening meal and a free drink. The food was great, with a varied menu, though some dishes had a supplement, such as a larger steak in the mixed grill. The staff were friendly, accommodating and really welcoming, going above and beyond. Excellent value for money. The rooms in the main building were a bit dated, and the bath area needs attention, especially around the taps, which you can only see when you’re in the bath. Still, the bed was comfy and there were extra pillows. The location is nice and quiet, right by the motorway junction and a short walk from the city centre.

Reception made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived, and housekeeping had the room looking clean and presentable. There’s a decent restaurant attached too, and the location worked really well. A lovely stay, thank you.

The bed was so comfortable that we both slept really well, and the room was clean. Everyone was welcoming and happy to give us information. Callum and Caren especially helped make the stay such a positive one.
