Sally and Ian were lovely hosts, and breakfast was generous and delicious. I stayed four nights in the single room at Troutbrook cottage, which was comfortable and excellent value. The garden room was a particular treat, with facilities for making tea and coffee and some homemade cakes. Thanks to them both.
We've used this place several times to break up the journey to and from Scotland. The rooms are comfortable, Sally and Ian make us feel welcome, and breakfast is first class. We hope to come back next year.
While travelling Hadrians Wall route 72, we came across this place. It was easily the best and most perfect B&B we stayed in. Thanks, Sally!
