The location is fantastic, only half a minute from west cliff, and the house has parking for two cars, a little balcony and a small courtyard garden. We slept really well in the comfy bed. The furniture, though, is very cheap. The bedroom “wardrobe” is barely holding up, the little armchairs feel ready to collapse, and the balcony table and chairs are so rusty they're unusable. They're only £60 on Amazon, and other reviews have pointed these things out before. It's a shame, because spending a couple of pounds on them could make this a five-star place. It also wasn't very clean. There were used tights behind the “wardrobe” and stains all over the lounge carpet. We'd love to come back, but these issues need sorting first. As it stands, I can only give it three stars.

We stayed here in September and were really disappointed, and yes, we have photos to show why. The toilet brush was used and covered in faeces, and the bin still had rubbish from previous guests. Outside, the maintenance had clearly been neglected: weeds everywhere and green "slime" on the main balcony. We had included £80 for cleaning in our total budget, so the condition was very upsetting. Since we didn't complain straight away, I've been told we can't get a refund.

We had a wonderful family break with our dog. The accommodation was spotless, the kitchen well equipped, and we had private parking right outside for up to three cars. West Cliff beach was a two-minute walk away, and Whitby town took about ten minutes on foot. We'll definitely book again.

A clean, comfortable place with comfy beds and most of what you'd want in a holiday home. It's close to the sea, and around a 15-minute walk into town. We'll book again.

We both loved this beautiful, very clean house during our two-night stay. The only thing we missed was having a TV in the bedroom.
