Beckside Hall

The house is wonderfully equipped and comfortable, with plenty of room for a family or group to spend time together or find a quiet spot alone. The huge kitchen and dining space has lounge seating and a TV, and there’s another seating area with a TV upstairs. We stayed in May 2025 and loved exploring the lovely gardens, outdoor spaces and stream. There’s a barbecue and fire pit, though they weren’t mentioned in the Sykes description, and playing croquet on the tennis court was a nice touch. The four spacious bedrooms include two en suites, with two more bathrooms beside the other rooms and a downstairs loo. It’s a remote countryside location, so you’ll need a car to reach pubs and shops. That suited us, and there are fabulous country walks nearby. We had a lovely stay at Beckside Hall and would highly recommend it for friends or family.

The place is huge, charming and full of quirks, and every room and the grounds were even better than the photos had led us to expect. My only gripe is that the bookshelves are packed with so many good books I wanted to take some home. Glorious stay, 12/10.

Set well off the beaten track, this fabulous four-bedroom house is so quiet and has amazing views. The fenced paddock for dogs is a great touch.

Such a fab spot, and we had a lovely stay. Can't wait to come back.
