We had a great time at boavista cottage carnforth, and I really didn't want to leave. It’s spacious for six people and a dog, with a side garden enclosed so my dog could run around and do her business. The view over jackdraw quarry is amazing, and watching the divers each day was interesting. The cottage was clean, though there was a really bad smell from the first toilet that lingered until Saturday evening. It’s very modern and has more appliances, facilities and utensils than I have at home. The hot tub was a nice bonus, even if it wasn't the hottest one I've tried. We had a big drink on the first night with the sound system, open plan space and hot tub, then spent two quieter nights by the lovely fireplace with the massive TV and toasty heating. There were lots of wasps on the balconies because of the quarry and water nearby, which was irritating when we wanted to eat or relax outside with the big doors open, though it didn't bother us too much. There’s no footpath on the road out of the cottages, and with the narrow road and cars flying by, we had to drive everywhere for safety. We all loved our stay. At £185 each it felt a bit expensive, but once we were there we kind of forgot about the cost.
