We came across this place by chance in Kirby Lonsdale and were glad we stopped. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, and the food was excellent with generous, nicely presented portions. The Hunters Chicken was the nicest I’ve ever had, and my husband really enjoyed the Trio of Sausage with Mash. If you’re in the area, I’d definitely recommend it.

The pub is cosy and welcoming, and the Sunday lunch was great. My roast beef and my husband’s lamb arrived piping hot and cooked perfectly, with just the right amount. The cherry cheesecake was lush too. A fab experience all round, we’ll be back!

The food was excellent, and the service was friendly and helpful. We stopped in for lunch and drinks, and two of us chose the Hunters Chicken. It was the best we’d ever had anywhere. We’d come again if we’re in the area.

Since the new owners, Linda and son Michael, took over in December '25, the staff have been engaging and fun. Service was brilliant, the locals were friendly, and there was excellent live music too. We’ll definitely be back and bring others along for a good night.

The lunch menu food was excellent, and there was a plentiful, tasty basket of crisps I hadn’t expected, so I wouldn’t have ordered fries. I also enjoyed a lovely pint of Timmy Taylor’s Landlord. We called in for lunch on Wednesday. The new management deserve to do well.
