When I arrived, Laura was at her post. I was panicking over what was happening with my Range Rover, and my son and I had been driving for five hours with barely enough energy to keep our eyes open. Laura made sure we were safe. She used her vehicle to block ours for security while we got some sleep, and gave me a charger when I asked. She protected the vehicle and my property while we slept for a few hours. I can’t praise her enough, and think she deserves triple pay. She went far beyond what was needed to help us. Anyone who knows Laura or works with her is lucky. She’s a shimmer of light, and her face lights up a room. I wish I knew her personally, had her as a neighbour, or better still, as family. Hand on heart, there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for people like her. People like this are rare nowadays, and I’d trust her with my most precious belongings and my family. I met Laura on the 26th of February, and she’s a truly special human being, gorgeous, beautiful and pure hearted. Thank you, Laura, you’re amazing, amazing, amazing, too good for this ugly world. Anyone who meets you should feel honoured to know someone with a heart of pure platinum and gold. 100 hearts. God bless Laura. I pray all her heart’s desires, joy and happiness come true. She deserves this and more. A LEGEND OF A LADY!!!!!! Laura, Number 1.

After a long day travelling, we had a very pleasant stay at the Travelodge on Sunday, 18th January 2026. The room was extremely clean and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. The receptionist was friendly and helpful when we checked in late. I got a hairdryer from reception when I needed one. The vehicle recognition system at check-in means you don't get charged for overnight parking. We couldn't believe how cheap the room rate was. We can highly recommend this hotel.

We stopped overnight while travelling to Scotland, and it was ideally placed about halfway along the route. The hotel is dog friendly, and reception gave us a friendly welcome. The room was clean and fresh. The motorway services next door are dog friendly too, with a water and feeding station for dogs. Access is restricted only in M&S and the direct counter areas.

Being able to pull into the Travelodge at motorway services, pop on and off without hassle, and take my dog with me makes this a great stop for me. The room was good, clean, light, airy and spacious, with a TV and tea making facilities. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, which got air locked but sorted itself out. Staff were friendly and informative. There's hot food and drink nearby at the services if you need it. For the price, good value.

The reception service made an already poor stay worse. The receptionist was cold and unhelpful, and misled us about room allocation. We had booked a first floor family room that showed as available online, but were told no such rooms existed on that floor. One of the two rooms we booked had visible blood stains on the bedsheets. When we reported this, the first response was to deny it could have happened. After looking at the room, the receptionist said there were no other rooms, seemingly expecting us to accept the unhygienic bedding. Another room was only “found” after we insisted, even though the Travelodge website still showed availability. The receptionist never apologised for the problem or inconvenience. The lack of professionalism and customer care was the most disappointing part. The hotel is clearly outdated and needs significant maintenance just to meet basic standards. A very poor experience, far below what I'd expect from a basic hotel stay.
