We'd absolutely come back because it's incredibly peaceful, the staff are friendly, and it's a great place for a holiday. The woodland lodges are surrounded by wildlife, and on our evening walks we were lucky enough to spot ducks, otters, deer, hares, toads, and lots of birds. The location is great, close to Carrbridge and its food options, and there are tennis and basketball courts. The lodge was generally clean, though dusty, and the rooms felt dated, as is common with MacDonald locations. It was disappointing that there was no restaurant or bar. The pool, sauna, gym, and steam room are very limited, especially compared with other nearby MacDonald locations.

We found this to be the most peaceful place my husband and I have ever been, with beautiful scenery. Don't be put off by the negative reviews. Our cabin was spotless, the bed very comfortable, and it had everything we needed and more. The kids loved exploring the woods and feeding the ducks. There's a lovely little pool and spa, and the staff are lovely and helpful. The wifi was the only issue, but it wasn't the end of the world. We'd definitely recommend it and will definitely be back.

We loved being surrounded by nature at Lochanhully over New Year with family. It was a wonderful time in a beautiful, tranquil spot. Even with heavy snow outside, the accommodation was cosy, and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Everyone we met was lovely, and Gina and Liam gave us such a warm welcome at reception. Highly recommend for families or anyone after a quiet break. We'll definitely be back.

Richie the cat was a highlight, and we especially loved the ducks. Hope I've got his name right 🙃. It's a peaceful spot, simple but with everything you need for a comfortable short stay. I'd happily recommend it 👌

Carrbridge is a quiet town away from the hustle and bustle, so it's a good pick if you want a peaceful break. We sat quietly sipping coffee and looking at the woods, and were fine without the limited connectivity and entertainment. You can get ITV, BBC and other channels on the TV, but there are no OTT platforms. Wifi was slow even for WhatsApp, and the mobile network wasn't great either. I didn't see public transport nearby, and even if there is some, you'd need to check how often it runs. A car is a must. Lochanhully has 50 wooden lodges set among forest, with its own lake or pond, walking area, kids' play area, and tennis court. There's also a swimming pool, though I'm not sure if use of the tennis court or pool costs extra. I'm giving the service 3 stars because the estate's restaurant and cafe are closed, and there are almost no other places nearby for food or drinks. There's just one cafe opposite the Packhorse bridge, and you'll need to go to Aviemore for more options. The rooms have kitchens, so you'll be fine if you bring your own food.
