Dinner was wonderful, with a menu that had something for everyone and very generous portions. We'll be back :) From the spotless rooms to the delicious homemade breakfast, you could see how much pride they take in their work. Pauline and David were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and made us feel at home. It's a cosy, personal place, with genuine hospitality. They also went out of their way with local recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. We had an amazing stay at this lovely family-run hotel.

On the way home from a short break, we stopped in for lunch. The service and food were excellent, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I'd happily call again and recommend the Kings Arms Burger with haggis and cheese. Thanks to all the staff!

I was on my own and made a last-minute dinner booking at the Kings Arms while staying at a nearby B&B in Castle Douglas. They were very busy but still managed to fit me in. The welcome was friendlier than any I've had at any other establishment, and the food was very good.

We had a great night celebrating my 60th at the King's Arms. The meal was beautiful, and the service was excellent. David and Pauline oversaw everything with real professionalism and made sure everyone was happy. Many thanks, I can't recommend it highly enough.

The Kings Arms is our go-to treat meal. You don't always need to book, and they serve food from 5pm. The atmosphere is friendly, the staff attentive, and the prices very reasonable. Another delicious meal, with the food always top quality. Highly recommended.
