The Munches Room At Buittle Castle

Take a walk around the grounds to see the old castle ruins, rivers and moats, and keep an eye out for Perry the peacock. The setting is beautiful and the layout is great. Our lady maxwell room was warm and comfortable, and breakfast was brought right to our table. Service was excellent, with courteous, well-mannered staff. The place’s historical significance shouldn’t be overlooked. There’s a hot tub on request. We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more and will visit again.

Tobias made our stay feel special. He was patient, kind and knowledgeable about the castle and its history, and the service was welcoming and friendly. We loved the peaceful walk through the Sunken Garden, with beautiful views stretching out across the countryside. The beautifully kept grounds show how much care has gone into restoring Buittle Castle. Inside, the thoughtfully placed pieces reflect the attention to detail and the preservation of its history. Dinner in the medieval Great Hall was unforgettable. The meal was delicious and served on delicate bone china, with soft music and fairy lights twinkling overhead. It made for such a romantic evening. Staying here became the highlight of our trip. We hope to return one day, and can’t imagine a better place to stay in Scotland.

There’s a lovely atmosphere at night, and the traditional breakfasts are fab, served in the room at the moment. The rooms are well appointed, with proper linen, a very good shower and tea making facilities. It’s a really interesting location, and this place will only get better!

A little paradise with a rich history, if you can find it. It wasn’t easy to locate, and there are only two rooms, but this was one of the most beautiful B&Bs we found on our trip.
