Shendish Manor Hotel & Golf Course

The manor and its grounds are beautiful, with well-kept gardens that made for peaceful walks. We had a weekend away and stayed in one of the four-poster rooms, which was stunning. It was clean, and the sturdy bed didn’t creak whenever we moved. Check-in was quick, and the receptionist gave us all the details we needed right away. The restaurant was lovely too. The food was fresh, well cooked, delicious and nicely presented. Every staff member we met was polite, welcoming and very helpful. The one real downside was a wedding party directly below our room. The DJ carried on until midnight and was extremely loud. Even with our TV nearly at full volume, we could still hear it. Until then, the stay had been peaceful and pleasant, and that noise wouldn’t put me off returning. I’d happily stay again if I were in the area, though I’d probably avoid booking on a weekend.

The course is in excellent shape, with tidy fairways and greens that roll consistently and truly. Some holes are forgiving, while others make you think, so the round stays interesting. The setting around the manor is genuinely beautiful and adds a touch of class. Friendly staff and a smooth experience from arrival to finish. It’s a high-quality parkland course, good value, and I’d gladly play again.

We spent two nights here in February after winning Harry Potter tour tickets. What a calm, peaceful and elegant place. The estate is beautiful, with lovely grounds and lots of lovely trees. Local restaurants are a short Uber ride away, but Shendish Manor’s restaurant is excellent, so there’s no need to go elsewhere. The staff were exceptional, an amazing team giving Gold Star service. Special mention to Ruby and Aggy. We can’t wait to return for a round of golf and a cheeky chorizo scotch egg. Compliments to the chef. Honestly, I couldn’t fault it.

The building and grounds were beautiful and picturesque, and every staff member was so welcoming and willing to help. My wife and I stayed one night as part of a package for visiting harry potter studios. Dinner was amazing, and breakfast the next morning was just as good. We only had a standard room for our one-night stay, but it was nice and came with a smart TV, plenty of hot drink options, and room service if we wanted anything. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and will recommend it to anyone who asks.
