The welcome was a lovely touch, especially the freshly made scones for afternoon tea. The cottage was clean and cosy, with a really comfortable bed and everything we needed. It’s an easy short break from Richmond, and I’d happily stay for a week too. Thank you, Vicky.

We had a great weekend using Blacksmiths Cottage as our base for walks in the Dales. It’s just right for a couple, and our dog was welcome too. Vicky was very friendly and showed us around before we settled in. Everything was clean and worked as it should, with no problems at all. Recommended!

We’ll definitely come back to the area, and hopefully stay at Blacksmiths Cottage again. Hudswell is right at its heart, and there are plenty of places to visit around Swaledale. The cottage is beautifully presented by the owners, who live nearby, and has everything you need for a break. Yorkshire hospitality made the trip even nicer.

We loved the cottage 🐕. There’s loads of walking nearby, with footpaths everywhere, and it’s handy for days out. The pub is only a few yards away, and there’s a Little Shop too. A lovely little place with everything needed for a comfortable stay.
