The chips were great, and the food was good value and always nicely presented. We went on pie night and got chicken and leek pie for £10.

The staff were so welcoming, and the pub had a cosy, relaxed feel. We liked the steak and ale pie so much that we cancelled a booking at another pub, then came back the next day for more. Best one we’ve ever had.

The meal put me off ordering dessert. The portion was small, mostly watery vegetables with lumpy gravy, and the meat was burnt, very chewy, and full of fat. Some of the onions were raw while others were half burnt, and parts of the meal seemed freshly prepared while other parts had been reheated. Even the coffee was cold. The placemat, cutlery, and condiments had just been dumped on the table instead of set out.

The men with me wished there'd been more beers to choose from, but we all had a great time at this small local pub. Service was great, and the chips were the best I've had in a long while. The food was very good too.

The Sunday dinner was perfect, and we thought the menu and food were great. There's a fantastic garden too. Of all the places I've been, this one had the best Covid-secure system.
