Lexton House

After a great night's sleep, we tucked into a huge breakfast at Lexton House. There was cereal, cold milk, orange juice, fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast, jam and marmalade to help ourselves to, then Carmel made the cooked breakfast the way we'd asked: bacon, sausage, fried eggs, mushrooms and tomato. No baked beans, which suited me just fine. She was friendly and chatty over breakfast without getting in the way, and there was plenty of tea. We were in Middleton Cheney for a family celebration, and Carmel gave us a lovely welcome before showing us to our top-floor room. It was bright and fresh, with the windows open when we arrived, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was very large, with a freestanding bath and lots of towels. I grew up in this beautiful village, and we’ll definitely stay again when we're visiting. 10 out of 10, thanks, Carmel. Paul and Jim

Lexton House was so peaceful, even though it’s only a short drive from the M40 and easy to find. The rooms were lovely and beautifully decorated, and the accommodation was first class. I’d recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a place to stay around Banbury and Oxfordshire. It would be a great base for exploring the county. A***
