Restaurant at Brockencote Hall

Both evenings, a different bar person served us, and each brought my after-dinner brandy in a warmed glass. That earned an extra star. We stayed for two nights and found the food and service excellent. We’ve stayed at all the other Eden group hotels except Mallory Park, and this one matched the service we’ve had at the rest. Great hotel, just what you’d expect from the group.

We come back every year for our anniversary, and I’d never hesitate to recommend the place. The rooms differ depending on what you book, but they’re all finished to a high standard. We always have the three-course menu, which is superb, and the service is fantastic. Breakfast is very high quality too. It’s nice to walk around the grounds before heading off.

We chose small plates in the bar instead of a full restaurant meal, and the food service was impeccable. The bar staff knew their cocktails too. After a leisurely breakfast the next day, I left feeling happy and refreshed. It was a restful overnight stay, with really excellent staff. The grounds were just right for an afternoon walk before sunset.

The wedding reception was lovely, and staying overnight made the occasion feel special. We had drinks and delicious canapés on the terrace, followed by an equally delicious meal. The staff were attentive and wonderful throughout, and breakfast was amazing. Perfect from start to finish. We’ll stay again x
