The lime and soda was delicious, and the coffee was first class. Lunch for four was a real treat: I had the porchetta with butter beans and chorizo, which was sublime, my husband had two starters, and our friends had venison burgers. We shared a rich, complex chocolate pudding too. We’d run ten minutes late after our five mile walk, but phoned when we got signal and they were happy to welcome us. Not sure why it took us so long to find this place. We’ll be back.

Couldn’t fault our special occasion lunch. The food, wine list, decor and service were all 10 out of 10, and the prices were very reasonable. Can’t wait to go back!

It was our second visit, with me, my husband and seven friends coming in the weekend after Christmas. We all had starters, mains and drinks, and everything was delicious, local and reasonably priced. Dogs are welcome too: we brought our border terrier and a friend brought their labrador. Highly recommend eating here.

We had mushroom toast and beef burgers with fries, and everything was cooked just right. Great food at a great price in a lovely country pub.

We only stopped for a drink, and it was quite expensive. The service was quick and friendly, and the inside looked nice. There seemed to be plenty of food choices. We didn’t eat, but the food looked good and the people having it seemed to be enjoying it.
