The Dolphin Hotel

We were so well looked after by Lillian and Rob, who were friendly, kind, and thoughtful. The room was spotless, and we were surprised to find it cleaned and restocked every day. It was tastefully decorated with quality furnishings, the beds were comfortable, and the shower was amazing. There are local places to eat, plus a Wetherspoon opposite for breakfast. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. It's a lovely area with plenty to see and do, and I'd like to spend longer here, especially with Lillian.

We arrived very late and felt a bit awkward, but the owners were there to greet us warmly. The family room was fantastic, with games for the kids, and it was lovely and clean. Parking felt safe and was easy. I slept like a king in a comfy bed, and the price was an absolute bargain. Thanks so much.

This is a pub with chalets in the courtyard behind it, not a hotel. The rooms were acceptable, but noisy people were drinking until the early hours just yards from where we were trying to sleep. There was no heating, and neither WiFi nor TV signal worked to drown out the noise. We drove from Essex after reading the reviews, arrived at 4:30 pm, and were heading back home by 3:30 am. Never again. I'm still waiting for the owner to call and apologise for not giving us this information.

We had a comfortable family stay on our way to Lyme Regis, and the late evening welcome was warm and friendly. We were pleasantly surprised by how much the room included: a double bed, two singles, and a kitchenette with a microwave, kettle, and fridge. Tea, coffee, sugar, and milk were there too, along with board games, building blocks, and colouring for the kids. The shower room and toilet were fully stocked with toiletries.
