Breakfast was very good, and Jamie & Gary made us feel welcome and were accommodating hosts. We spent two days at Watermead House and really liked it. The room was stylish, clean and comfortable, and surprisingly quiet despite being right in the town centre. I’d definitely recommend the hotel. Five stars!

We booked direct and got a great discount. The new self catering studio was beautifully fitted out and spotless, with a comfortable bed, fridge, microwave, crockery and cutlery. Check in was easy too, with clear instructions sent ahead for the door system. It’s right on Chard’s high street, with plenty of free parking. We definitely recommend it. Thanks to Jamie & Gary, our hosts!

Breakfast was delicious, with lots of healthy choices, though I went for the full English. The beds were comfortable and cosy, with quality linen and under mattress. Chard is a handy central spot close to the main road, yet it felt really quiet at night, almost like being in the country.

We come back regularly because we love staying here. The owners are so friendly and welcoming, the rooms are a high standard, and breakfast is wonderful with plenty of variety. The hotel has been updated to 5 star accommodation, and it’s in Chard, Somerset, with lots of local places of interest to visit.

The self catering rooms are a lovely option, and I like that there’s even a room for disabled people. Our hosts were very accommodating and helpful, the rooms were lovely, and breakfast was superb. We had a great time. Thanks.
