The Bramley House Hotel

I spend a lot of time in hotels for work, but this was a stay away I actually enjoyed for a change. The rooms were spot on, very clean, and had everything you need. Breakfast and both evening meals I had were spot on too. The staff were really friendly, and the place just has a nice feel about it. 10/10, guys. I look forward to coming back.

The breakfast was easily the best full English we had on our UK trip, and this is clearly a proper restaurant that also offers rooms, not a hotel with a tiny kitchen. Our Room #8 was cosy, well equipped, and stocked with soaps, tea, coffee, and a few surprise treats. The bar downstairs was lively in the evening. Our window opened above the outdoor seating, but the noise wasn't a problem and had quieted completely by around 10 p.m. The staff we met were warm and welcoming. Check-in took a moment to figure out when we arrived during a busy spell, since it wasn't obvious where to go. We asked someone behind the bar, who quickly found the right person, and it turned into an easy process. If it's busy when you arrive, you can ask anyone. It was a wonderful way to end our time in the UK, and we only wish we could have stayed longer. The town is very walkable, with a large grocery store a pleasant 10-minute walk away through charming streets and neighborhoods. Our only regret was not arriving earlier to see more of town during the day.

We had a wonderful stay after Tom and his team helped us out at the last minute. We'd been let down by a different booking when its rude owner cancelled by phone. The rooms here were lovely and clean, breakfast was included and tasty, and the location was great. The bar had a huge choice of drinks at reasonable prices. Tom, the owner, is a joy, and the service was absolutely lovely. We'd love to come back for longer.

Tom and Pete are so welcoming, always chatty and happy to be around. The food is absolutely amazing, out of this world. 100% recommend! Thanks so much!
