The food and drinks were delicious and there was plenty for everyone. Our spacious dining room was beautiful, and the team handled my grandson's egg allergy without any trouble. They were also happy for us to bring a birthday cake for dessert. Everyone in the party thought it was the perfect celebration spot. I came with my family for Sunday lunch to celebrate my birthday, including several small children. I picked Oddfellows On The Park so they could burn off some energy in the park afterwards. The person who took my booking was very helpful, and our servers Jake and Steph were lovely. Special mention to Jake, who dealt with the chaos of several little ones with humour and efficiency.

We chose room 11 because its wet-room bathroom has grab rails and a shower seat, which was a huge help to my wife after surgery. We stayed for 10 nights while she recovered from major surgery at a nearby hospital in January 2026. We live in Leeds and wanted to avoid extra travel and help with her initial recovery. It definitely helped. Before booking, we came to look around last November 2025. Michelle showed us different rooms and made us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. During our stay, the room was lovely and the staff were always willing to help. Leanne especially kept checking on us to see how we were doing. We had privacy and understanding throughout, and the stay was relaxing and very pleasant for my wife's recovery. It's a great hotel in a lovely setting, with great staff. We'd definitely stay again and highly recommend it. Thanks again to Leanne, Michelle, and everyone there.

The room had a comfortable bed, and the breakfast was freshly cooked and nice. Most of the staff were charming and helpful, and the dinner, wine, and service at the event I attended were all very good. The building has a lot of atmosphere, too, with beautiful restoration and quirky, fantastic spaces in the lobby, bar, and restaurant. As a boutique hotel, though, it disappointed me for the price. My room was pleasant enough but tired: a broken chair leg, a filthy Nespresso machine, and a kettle left half full of water in a cupboard. The pillows were very lumpy. There was no iron, and the bathroom only had shower gel and hand soap, with no lotion, shampoo, or tissues. A Holiday Inn Express gives you more amenities. There was a strong drain smell in the ground-floor corridor and rooms, and the plug-in air fresheners around the place made me think they know about it. Heating and air conditioning were out in many rooms. Reception had a small sign saying it was a recent issue they were fixing, but other reviews suggest it had been broken since last year. Why hadn't it been fixed? An electric panel heater in my room was sufficient, but hardly boutique. With more care this place could be great, but as it stands, it's disappointing.

We like coming here for a few days when we're visiting relatives around Manchester. The rooms are very comfortable, and ours had a lovely shower and bath. Breakfast is great, and the Galloping Major has a good choice of well-cooked food, though I think prices may recently have crept up a little too much. The friendly staff give great service. Any excuse for a short break and we'll be back.

Oddfellows is full of personality, quirky and charming in the best way. The hotel kept in touch really well before my visit, which made me feel welcome even before I arrived. My room was beautiful and spotless, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. You can see the care that went into the details. The staff made the stay for me, so warm and friendly throughout. A special thanks to Lisa and Aidan for their lovely hospitality and for making me feel at home.
