Claire and John made me feel at home, and the breakfast had lots to choose from. Acrelands is tucked into peaceful countryside but still feels convenient. My room was spotless, spacious, and comfortable.

We slept really well in the spacious room at the back of the house, away from the road. After a good night's rest, the full English breakfast and porridge set us up for the next part of the Essex Way. Claire was welcoming from the start, shared useful local information, and we had some lovely chats. She even told us about the Digigo bus to the nearest pub for supper, though we needed a taxi back because the service is very sporadic. A perfect stop for our tired feet. Thanks again to Claire for looking after us both so well.

Acreland Green is a gorgeous 400yr old house in the Essex countryside, and I had three lovely nights there. Clare and John were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. My room was superb, clean and comfortable, and it was attended to while I was out. Breakfasts were spot on too. Thanks to them both for such a wonderful stay. I’ll be back when I’m in the UK again.

Claire greeted us warmly and offered a cold beer after we arrived on a very hot day. The location was handy for Maiden's barn venue.

The room was private and self-contained, with a kettle and biscuits, and it was clean. The host was super friendly, and breakfast was superb and great value. I was walking the Essex Way for one night, so being only a few 100m from the route was ideal. It was quiet, and I managed to get the DigiGo on demand minibus into Great Waltham for dinner.
