We've stayed here four times now, and I'm sure we'll be back before long. It's a lovely little country pub with great, well-laid-out rooms that have everything you need. The food is home-cooked, the service is great, and there's a very good range of real ales.

My mum and I had such a lovely stay at The Compasses. Our room was spotless, and the food and drinks in the bar were excellent. Every member of staff was delightful. Carol served breakfast and was so warm and friendly that she made our morning. We'd come back every week if we didn't live so far away.

We stayed after a wedding down the road and found the surroundings really peaceful. The welcome was friendly when we arrived and again in the morning. If you're going to a wedding at leez priory, it's a lovely walk of only about 20 minutes from here. Thankyou.

We booked because they had Bitburger, and I wasn't disappointed. The bar also had local and national craft beers and ciders, plus Neck Oil on tap, which made my partner happy too. We stayed for one night on a Saturday. Glen greeted us, showed us to our rooms, and explained everything. He was fantastic and pleasant throughout. The rooms were clean, nicely arranged, and roomy, and the beds were comfortable. We all enjoyed our meal in the bar as well. The service was first class and the food was faultless. Highly recommended!
