Crossways Guest House Cheltenham

The little details here are amazing: scissors for opening those annoying milk and coffee packets, spare reading glasses, and a hairdryer with a lead long enough to see yourself in the mirror while drying your hair. The owners are friendly and welcoming. I stayed for a weekend course, so didn’t see much of Cheltenham, but the B&B is well placed for several pubs and restaurants for evening meals. It’s a really lovely B&B, with large rooms and a big, comfortable bed.

The hosts were so helpful with travel questions and local tips, and they know the area well. The place is central, close to the Town Hall for cultural events, and all the little touches made it a really comfortable stay. Our room was lovely, spacious and very clean. Breakfast was amazing, with plenty of choice and excellent cooking, all included in the price. Mark’s scrambled eggs are worth recommending. I’d happily suggest it to anyone visiting Cheltenham.

We shared a two-night stay with another couple, and they were just as impressed as we were. Mark greeted us, sorted out parking and offered to carry our bags. Mark and Lyndsey made us feel like friends visiting, which is what a proper guest house should feel like. The rooms were spotless, nicely decorated and comfortable. There was everything we could think of, including a generous tea tray, luxury biscuits, hot chocolate, dressing gowns, slippers, a heater and even a hot water bottle. Breakfast had a long list of healthy choices as well as a full English, and it was all delicious and nicely presented. Crossways is also ideally placed for the town centre shops and entertainment. We’d highly recommend it and will be back.

They even had somewhere secure to lock up my bike, which was great. The people were really nice and accommodating, and you can tell they’ve thought of the small details. A lovely guest house. If we’re back in Cheltenham, we’ll stay here again.
